A fantastic weekend!

We are home from a fantastic, stress free weekend! Jax did great, not pulling any stunts that he likes to pull when we are relaxing. It looks like he relaxed on the couch as much as we did!


The boys swam constantly. They would go back and forth to the pool several times a day.



Jaxson got lots of extra attention. My parents and brother were up there, and my aunt Sondra as well.
On Saturday we went to the alpine slide. Its a slide that runs down a mountain. You take a ski lift to the top, and ride a small sled down the mountain. They also have an alpine coaster. The same thing but its attached to the track so you can go faster without worrying about falling off. This is the view from the top of the alpine slide.
The boys also played miniature golf at the alpine slide. Look at that concentration! Tanner and Carter were so funny, they obviously have no idea how to really play, and usually the ball ended up in the hole with the help of their hands!



Of course we always include Jax, he got to ride the merry-go-round. The best thing about going to the alpine slide was meeting a family from Georgia that had a Down syndrome son. Their son was very similar to Jax. He had multiple problems and was quite delayed. He also will probably never walk or talk. Its nice to meet not only another DS family, but one that is going through the same things as you. Her son also had seizures, intractable epilepsy, and he jumped several times while we were talking. The same kinds of things Jax does!


Last night, it was super cold for the fireworks. Luckily our condo is right on the golf course that everyone watches the fireworks from, so we left Jax home. Tanner was not having anything to do with the fireworks either. (Ah, life with an autistic child!) So grandpa stayed back with Tanner and Jax. But we forgot to take our camera to the golf course with us.
