Drumroll please...

Here are some pics from our photo shoot for the calendar. She took a bazillion, so I don't know which one she will use, or how many.
It was done by Julie Williams at www.juliewilliamsphotography.com
I was glad that she didn't mind doing them with his shirt off. He has so many scars and tubes. But thats him, and thats the reality of a lot of DS kids, so I think its ok to show that. Also I worried about them wanting the oxygen off, again, thats part of him, he's had it his whole life and probably will continue to have it.
Man he looks like the michelin baby with all that puffiness in his upper body. We had a blast with sweet Zoey, she was very cute. My guess is our month will be June or July, since its a summer scene.

Oh my gosh, I love them! The background is so fun. I'm happy to see another mom who cherishes all the scars, tubes, etc. They ARE part of our babes. They are what has helped them be who they are. Thank you for sharing Jaxson in ALL his wonderfulness. :)

And, yeah, we live in Sugarhouse. My husband's office use to be on the parade route so we would go and bbq, but we haven't been in a couple of years.

BEAUTIFUL! LOVE.THEM.ALL! :) You asked about our strollers. They are "Special Tomatoes" and very handicap accessible. We absolutely LOVE them. My friend April has the same wheelchair that you just got. She liked it but didn't like that it was heavy, didn't collapse very well and some other things. These strollers are good because they are really lightweight and SO collapsible. I love it more than the wheelchair that we have. I use it more too. It's something that is paid out of pocket though...that's the bummer. Let me know if you are curious about anything else.

Those are the cutest pictures. Jax is a doll. I also have a child with battle scars. But like you said, that is our kids and I tend not to see her scars but instead, her loving, smiling face.

These are just precious girlie.....Absolutely squeezy cute ;)

I love all Jophies tubies too....They are soo much apart of them....Seems odd without anything out of place to me...

One more thing while I'm thinking of it.....Not sure if you've heard of these folks....

The littlest Heros Project
http://www.littlestheroesproject.org/Littlest_Heroes_Project/Home.html

I submitted Jophie and Jax would qualify as well. They are a newly formed group staring back in Jan. 2008. I have several friends on an online special needs group who have used them which is also how I know about them. There are a list of photographers all over the U.S. IF your child is accepted they will match you up with a local photographer in your area.

I honestly would love to be on the photographing side but just don't have the time to do it with Jophies demanding needs. I do take photos on the side and have a few special needs families I shoot each year along with Jophie of course but, thats about the extent of what I can offer right now.

I honestly would love to see what someone else can do with him and I would love to have one of me and him. They will do the photoshoot at the location of your choice.

Did I mention these photo shoots can include the sibs and parents? Did I also mention they are FREE :))

OK girlie I really need to scoot. I HAVE to do an update. Eeek! Its almost 5 a.m. ....I really should try and get to these things earlier...

Talk soon!

P.S. still havent forgotten bout the cooling vest directions...

Hugs,
Trina and Jophie
