I'm grateful that I have so many wonderful friends praying for Jaxson and giving me support!
I'm grateful that my baby takes his battle wounds with a grain of salt, never complaining about anything.
I'm grateful that I saw my baby's eyes today, if only for a second. And that he moved around a little more, showing some more signs of life.
I'm grateful that my baby continues to fight, even though he is so tired he can barely move. Even though he is so tired he requires a machine to breath for him. He continues to fight!
I'm grateful for a wonderful husband, and wonderful boys. Boys that have had to grow up way to fast, to come home from school and take care of themselves while mom is in the hospital with their baby brother.
I'm grateful for our Disneyland season passes I just bought last night. That in a matter of a week to two weeks after we get Jax home, we are leaving this place behind, this hospital behind, and going to the happiest place on earth!
Oh Lacey, I'm so grateful for you and for Jaxson and for your strength. The pictures make me want to just hop on a plane and fly out there and help. I wish I could. I'd be out there in a heartbeat. Hugs to you both and the rest of your amazing family.
ReplyDeleteYou know I am grateful that a dear and wonderful friend of mine took time out of her day, left her sweet boy at the hospital and met me for lunch yesterday. It was the high-lite of my entire week! Love you dear friend. Thank you again for lunch...it was so good to see you, laugh with you, catch up and escape if only for a couple hours. Give love to all the boys in your family! xo
ReplyDeleteHe looks so much better today.......Boy is he a handsome little angel!
ReplyDeletePraying for you all as always!!!

ReplyDeleteTracie in NY
I am grateful that you LOVE Disneyland so much that you want to come all the time so that we have more chances to see you. I hope this comes across right but last night I was praying for Jax and my words were actually that I prayed it was God's wish to keep Jax around for a lot longer if for no other reason than to be the inspiration for so many other people. I don't know if you even realize how much this blogging community NEEDS you and Jax as our constant ray of hope. Yep, you have a tough job!!! But we are all SOOOO gratful for you. Can't wait to see you in March. Anymore on the baby girl???
ReplyDeleteLacey, I am so sorry Jaxson is in his hospital and that you both aren't at home right now with your husband and other boys! I LOVED seeing the passes to Disneyland, at least you have that coming up very soon, something fun to look forward to! Thinking about you guys and praying for Jaxson to GET WELL SOON!
ReplyDeleteGrateful to have "met" you and be able to call you friend. Grateful to be completely in love with your little man,who by the way I WILL squeeze for myself one day!
ReplyDeleteWhile I hate that poor Jax is so super pooped, I have to say I could look at pictures of him sleeping all day. I imagine all the places he goes when he's snoozing and it just chokes me up. Can't wait to see those pretty eyes open and taking in all the wonders that Disneyland will offer...thinking of you tonight...
ReplyDeleteHi Lacey.
ReplyDeleteJust wanted to let you know i'm thinking of you and hoping for a shorter hospital stay than they were predicting.
you are a great mother... remember that your boys all benefit when you take care of yourself-- so get some sleep :-)
Deirdre
What a fighter and what a source of hope and inspiration to everyone of us here, your Jax is here for a reason so know that he isn't fighting this battle for nothing, he is going to come out of it smiling and show us all what a true fighter is all about.
ReplyDeleteI pray for him all the time and pray that your source of strength doesn't ever let you down. I really wish I was closer so I could give that angel of yours a personal hug...until then many many long distance hugs are being sent.
Jaxson looks so peaceful getting the sleep he needs to fight off the nasty sick bugs. We are praying for all of you - that you hospital stay will be over soon and you can head to the happiest place on earth! Wish I was going with you! Thanks for being such an awesome Mom to Jaxson and all your boys and for being a fiend to so many - love you guys!

Love always,
Kaci and Carson
PS Your big boys are wonderful. It is hard for me to put Coltan and Cody on the backburner when Carson is in the hospital but they really understand. I'm very proud of your boys.
We are still praying for you all daily. He looks so calm and peaceful. Hoping he turns around really soon and ya'll can get going on that wonderful trip! ((( huggles )))

Hugs, Sweetie. Lots and lots of hugs.
ReplyDeleteHey Jaxson. It's me Sarah. I just got back from the doctor and had two more shots. He took the bandage off my hand from my IV and I told him that I only have a tiny dot but my little friend Jaxson has a whole hand full of bruises. So I am not going to feel bad for me because you are so brave. I hope you are feeling better soon because it looks like you are going to Disneyland!!!
ReplyDeleteAs everyone has already said, I'm grateful for you Lacey.
ReplyDeleteWe continue to pray for all of y'all
His color is looking better. Oh those sweet rosey cheeks..,,just want to kiss em'! He's such a fighter. Know you are proud of him even as you ache to be able to take the pain away!
ReplyDeleteLacey - what a beautiful post. Your gratitude is inspiring, and your outlook on life is something that I think every person on the planet should try to emulate.
ReplyDeleteJaxson is in our thoughts - big kisses and hugs for your little man!
Many, many prayers for Jaxon and for you and your family. The courage and strength you all display is beyond heroic. I pray that Jaxon feels better soon and that you are all able to get some rest. Enjoy your trip to Disney!
ReplyDeleteThis just brings tears to my eyes because even through the struggles you and Jaxson are going through, you can still be grateful. It speaks volumes of who you are.
ReplyDeleteUuugh computers! I have left comments on two blogs now and the system - my system isn't working! I feel like a big dumb heel. I haven't been keeping up with the blogs so didn't know Jaxson was back up at PCMC! I'm so sorry! This just sucks, no other words. I hope he gets out soon and that you can all go to Disneyland and have FUN! Love you guys!
ReplyDeleteWow... I don't come by for a few days and blamo!!!! I'm so sorry to hear that Jax is in the hospital fighting a nasty virus! That's just awful and will pray that he gets to feeling better soon. I wish we lived close enough to either Disneyland or Disneyworld to buy season passes. Baylee see's the commercial all the time on TV and begs to go to the castle... I'm thinking next year we will make the trip!
ReplyDeleteHugs - Tiffany
I adore that picture, he looks so peaceful sleeping. I have been praying for Jax every day and night and I hope he gets to go home soon. I am sure Disneyland is what you all need. ((HUGS))
