As I sit here and continue to ponder which direction to go with this blog, I hit a wall! Yesterday I was all ready to drop the blog and stick with his Facebook page. Then I remembered I started the blog for me. For a scrapbook that I can print out, and have an automatic memory book. But since starting his page, the blog has literally died! I mean I can hear the crickets chirping when I come here!

I'm wondering if I should do more blogs on issues that people want to talk about. So what do you want to talk about? What should we do to get the blog back up and get the crickets to go away?

  1. I think facebook has taken over the blogging world. I too, blog as a family journal of sorts. I like that I can look back at last year's birthday post and see how far we've come, that kind of stuff. I'm not in it to make money off ads. Sure, I love comments. But even I realize that I comment much more on fb than on peoples blogs these days. I still surf blogs. I just don't take the kind of time I used to to comment. So I continue to blog just for me, so I too, can print out our yearly recap. My kids are going to love seeing themselves grow up on paper 20 yrs from now. I don't print the comments when I print the blog book, so really, guess I don't care as much if only a handful of people are following anymore ;) Plus, I'm a picture person. And I don't really like putting too many pictures on fb. Not sure why though.
Good luck deciding what to do!

  3. I hope you continue with your blog. I follow LOTS of blogs and very rarely ever comment. I just love reading about your beautiful family. My dream is to adopt a little one with DS. We have adopted two beautiful Ethiopian treasures and in fact, that's how we settled on Ethiopia. We enquired about a baby with "suspected" down syndrome. Since I am not on facebook and probably never will be, I'd miss reading about your family.
