When we moved, I put the hanging part in storage, and took the base that plays the music. He didn't have a crib, but needed that music to go to bed.
Then in the house, Ray handed me this..
I can't bear to part with this mobile.
I know it sounds ridiculous, but I haven't been able to find a mobile yet that is as great as this one.
And I think for me, its the sentimental value. Everything with Jax has a lot more meaning. Clothes that he grows out of, I can't bear to part with. This mobile has been through 6 years of some scary stuff with us, and I can't let it go!
Being a medically mommy really does make you crazy!!
I am still looking for the exact colors that Jax has...but this looks super close! I could be way off not seeing it in person.

I am sure you have enough surgical tape to hold that thing together for a long time LOL~
ReplyDeleteMoving is the worst. Here's what you're looking for, although it doesn't seem to be in stock anymore.

It's the Tiny Love Symphony in Motion Mobile, Geometric Shapes. I would keep trying ebay or your local Craigslist if your toy surgery doesn't work.
Please keep us posted. A boy needs his mobile!
Good luck fixing it. I know what you mean about getting overly attached to stuff - my garage is full of all Ashlea's baby things that I can't bear to part with!

ReplyDeleteIt is listed in Seattle ebay classifieds. Maybe you could snatch it up and use the pieces necessary so Jax will always have the mobile!

ReplyDeleteI think somebody else posted this exact link... :-)
We have a few of those exact mobiles in the NICU that I work in, and I know that this has the same 3 songs.... just the updated version of it!
So sad for the mobile :(
ReplyDeleteAs for the camera, I'll do a blog post on it, but it's a Sony a55vl - got camera of the year award for 2010. I would have probably got a Nikon or Canon, but Steve truly surprised me (so I hadn't researched one) and went with the Inkley's employee's recommendation :)
SAD! :( I'm sorry.
ReplyDeleteThat stinks! I hope you can get it put back together!
