A princess pedicure!

I gave our princess her first pedicure today. As you can see, I'm not sure I would call it a success!

Not only is it taxing trying to get a rambunctious 16 month old to sit still for more than 5 seconds! Its also impossible to keep polish on the toes of a girl with an extra chromosome!
Why.... because T21 kids use their toes like and extra set of hands!

Why was I worried about not painting her fingers because she puts them in her mouth?
She does the same thing with her toes!

Oh well, it was still fun to paint toe nails of a baby girl! Instead of sitting on a boy and begging them to let you paint their piggies!!
Now I know why the boys were so excited to get a baby sister!

Right princess?

    I haven't even attempted this Claire. She has to be asleep or really tired for me even to be able to cut her nails...

    I just found this nail polish for my little girl. I was always worried about her putting her fingers in her mouth. Its called Piggy paint and its non toxic.

    I see soeone put the link for piggy paint (that's what I was going to recommend!!!) You can use a blow dryer when applying to make it dry faster...it's awesome!!!They sell a remover too!!

    The last picture .... my favorite!I still cannot believe she has not been with you forever and ever Lacey!Everytime I see her lately,I think the same thing ....She truly has been placed exactly where God intended her to be.

    Those are the cutest little toes ever! The thing about toenails from kids with DS is they are so thin and brittle!!
