Sleep study done, and we are both relatively unscathed. I think I've got a cold. I've had the beginning stages for a few days now, so I'm guessing my flu shot is preventing it from getting horrible. Or its total lack of sleep from a another sleepless night in the hospital. Who knows!
I'm very interested to find out the results, and what, if anything, will be changing at home. We have a couple of trips planned, one for March. And I'm anxious to know what equipment we are going to have to drag along. I'm now thinking we should have bought a trailer instead of a on the hood cargo carrier! There's no way we will stop traveling. Its what we love to do, and Jax loves it too!
Some other big news. I got a phone call from DCSF yesterday. They haven't found a home for our baby girl! Not big news since I knew no one would take this sweet baby. She said as soon as our homestudy is done to fax it to her! So we may get our original baby after all! Her sister has found a family, and hopefully its a family that will keep in contact with us! We will be getting our homestudy done next week, so I'll be sure to keep you updated on the latest baby news!
Jax looks sleepy in those pictures! But, oh so cute!!! Hope the results are good!
ReplyDeleteHope you get to feeling better! Have a great weekend and try to get some sleep! Love and Hugs!!!
Oh my gosh Lacey .... I hope that this home study stuff finishes up quickly. This little girl needs a home SO bad. I would love to meet her in March. :)
ReplyDeleteJaxson looks so cute even when he's mummified and sleepy. I hope you get the results soon.
Oh, sweet boy! I just wish I could give you big hugs! Please let us know what you hear!
ReplyDeleteGreat news about about that sweet baby girl! Can't wait!
So glad you both survived the sleep study, those things can be hell!
ReplyDeleteTraveling with a trach kiddo is difficult but totally worth it. That is the main reason we now have a minivan with only one kiddo. We literally have to pack everything PLUS the kitchen sink! ; )
Praying for you and that precious baby girl. It breaks my heart to think she might not be able to know her sister. I pray the other family is willing to keep contact.
Have a restful weekend and feel better soon!
Anxious to hear what the results are and if you finally get your baby girl!!!
ReplyDeleteHope the results are great and you get them soon. So excited that you might still get your baby girl! WOO HOO!
ReplyDeleteGet some rest and fight off that cold.
Hey Lacey it seems like forever since I've checked your blog. I will keep you in my prayers and pray that all goes well with the homestudy. Jax looks adorable in the pics but a little worn out. Your blog looks great! Love the new look!
ReplyDeleteHow did I ever miss that darling video of my boy trying to roll over??So cute and he is almost there.I was really watching Mondo too.i just think that it really is the sweetest that our children, our older ones, take on this role.Hard to explain but watching Mondo try to put the cap on,I am thinking how many kids, get a chance to be part of lives as amazing as Jax?Yes we wish we could shelter our "typical" children from heartache and fear but like I have said before... their lives are and will be so much richer because of Jax and Zoey's presence in it.
ReplyDeleteOkay ...enough of my rambling.love to you all and that trip in March ... can't wait!!!
Hope your sleep study results are better than ours!! And here is hoping you have good news on that sweet girl! I love the video of Jax trying to roll over - that arm is always in the way when you are trying to roll over. Hope you guys have had a great week!
ReplyDeleteI'm so glad that you have that one off your list. Yuck! I hope you feel better soon too! We're gonna be at PC practically all day Wed, so email me if you are gonna be up there ;)
ReplyDeleteHow exciting! Keeping my fingers crossed for you!
ReplyDeleteAnd so glad the sleep study is OVER!
Fighting a cold myself - not a big fan of winter.
ReplyDeleteI am so excited about Star! That is a seriously fast home study. I am so excited for y'all!
Trach talking- I wonder if Jax won't be faster than Bella since he doesn't have the vent pushing the air all the time. About Christmas she had figured out how to make noises. She experiments with changing her head position and different ways of breathing to get what she wants. She has figured out how to low pressure the vent. She sets the alarms off all the time and on purpose. She is determined to communicate. Makes me proud! :)
Hope you get some answers from the sleep study!
ReplyDeletePraying everything goes well with the sleep study so things can start happening with this baby girl!
