Getting started

They took Jax back about 20 minutes ago. I'm not even kidding they almost cancelled it again! First it was the aspiration pneumonia he had a month ago. Then it was he should have missed two lovenox doses. I was shaking I was so mad. I told the nurse practitioner that if this was cancelled again it would not be pretty! Get your act together please. The anesthesiologist asked if he was healthy. I told her he would never be as healthy as they wanted him to be.
The hilarious thing is the anesthesiologist was like, does he really have Down syndrome? She didnt think he looked DS, and she couldnt figure out why he had the multitude of medical problems he did with just DS. This was the first time anyone has told me he didnt look Down syndrome! You get something new everyday I guess!

I showed his picture to someone once (who is a nurse) and she said he didn't look DS to her either. I was like WHAAAT...you crazy

I know I sound like some kind of stalker, but I LOVE JAXSON and he could be the poster child for what "down syndrome looks like", which is one of the reasons I love him so much. I am praying for him and for all of you. Hope everything goes well and he recovers quickly! Good luck with your travels, too!

Praying for you guys right now. Jaxon looks like a handsome little man. He looks like a little boy so full of grace. He has to be tougher than a little guy ought to have to be. He is amazing little guy and he has captured my heart just through the internet.

We don't "know" each other but I think both of your kiddo's are fantastically, perfectly, adorable! I don't know if you have ever gotten the statement as a way meant to be a compliment before or not but I think sometimes when people don't know what to say about Ds they say stuff like how our kids don't look as if they have Ds.Like it some how makes us feel better-- like we are bothered that our beautiful children have the physical traits that come with Ds. Does this make sense? Anyway, I have had many kind people try to say that V doesn't look like she has Ds, as a compliment but I like that she does. I cherish it all and I know that, from your writing, you do too! We have been praying for your little guy. I hope everything works out.-- Sorry for blabbering on....

I agree Tara, i dont really think she meant it in a bad way. It was just funny because no one has ever said that before about him. I think it was more about all the medical problems, like the clotting disorder. She just couldnt believe he had so many things!
