Home sweet home

Arina is home! We got home last night about 10. Yet again we left wondering why we haven't moved away from this hospital yet!
I love how the "butt kisser", that's what I not-so-affectionately call her, stops by with every admission Jax has. She knows we have bad experiences there, yet we continue to even with her little visits!
Around 4:30 yesterday she finally drank for us. We were told no IV yet, but we'd have to stay the night to make sure she continues drinking. So me and the boys went up about 5:30 to eat dinner with daddy. The nurse said she was going to call the ENT team to see if we could go home. The resident called and didn't want to let her go. I got on the phone and she explained how they wanted to make sure she would keep drinking. She said if we were comfortable then they would write orders, but that it would be a while because they were "busy".
Knowing how flippin long it can take them to come down and write orders, we decided to stay the night. I wasn't going to make the boys stay in the hospital a couple more hours to get papers written.
So me and the boys drive an hour home, and as soon as I walk in the door Ray text me and said the doc wrote discharge papers! This doc said that the resident was wrong and that we could take her home. So I had to turn around and drive the hour back to the hospital to get daddy and baby.

Oh well, we are home for the weekend, and that's what matters!

Wow, these pants are a little big!

Ok, lets get this over with.

Puffy and groggy.

Wow, this is not fun!

So I'll just sleep it off!

Glad she is home. My mom had quite the adventure with me when I got mine taken out. It hurts so dang bad for such a minor surgery.

Does she sleep that way because she had a small sleeping area in the orphanage? It's adorable but I've never seen anything like it.

We moved several times to get Libby to better Doctors. It's just something we have to do for our special babies. I hope you get moved soon.

Such a cutie!!

So glad you are home!!

I couldn't help but chuckle a little when you mentioned the person that comes to check on you every time you are in the hospital. If its the same person that comes to check on us, that woman drives me crazy and I'm not really sure that anything ever changes when we do explain to her things that happen while there. Anyway just thought that was interesting.

Hope and pray Arina continues to improve and eat!!
