Ugh, the baby girl frustrations

As all of my adoptive friends probably know, this is the most grueling process ever! I'm telling you its worse than waiting 9 months to have a baby!
DCFS should have recieved our home study yesterday, but I didn't hear anything from them then or today. So I called about 4:00, and realized that they aren't in the office today. State employees have Fridays off! Plus, Monday is a holiday, so I won't be hearing anything until Tuesday at least! This is making me so crazy! Jax being in the hospital took my mind off it for 12 days, now I'm going to be going crazy all weekend. I don't know how much longer I can hold off buying girl stuff, its like I have this nervous twitch.
Oh, I don't know how people do this!

I still don't hear the phone ringing :p LOL
So happy Jax is doing better and is home. When dealing with the state and the adoption process.. I have learned that they move at their pace, and trust me it will never match ours LOL Call me woman :D

With Addy's adoption it seemed like everyone besides me moved at a snails pace! Hope you hear things soon!

I so have to agree with you. Jamie told me after this last experience that never again can we go through something like that. Too much of an emotional rollercoaster. I'd rather deal with my fertility issues any day than have to just sit and wait and sit and wait and sit and wait.... ahhhh! I have so much more respect for adoptive families now.

It's such a hurry up and wait game - exhausting. But worth it :)
We'll have to schedule a bow night soon! Check out the links on the side of my blog to get some ideas of what kinds of bows you want to make... then head to the Lace Place (11th East & 27th South ish) for ribbon!

That must be so hard to sit and wait, all the while imagining and hoping and praying for that little girl to come home to you. I hope you hear first thing Tuesday!

Hang in there Lacey! It will happen in God's timing....it's hard to wait on this, but it's always the best time!

I can't wait to hear about and see that sweet girl either though!

Enjoy your weekend! Hope Jax is doing well! Love and Hugs!!!

Sorry - it's too bad that the process is SO long and frustrating when there is a perfectly great home for this little girl. Praying!

Sorry we haven't commented lately, but we've been keeping up on our boy. I'm so glad he's home. I can't wait to celebrate the homecoming of your little girl.
