Lovin life!

Yes I do think this title is appropriate even though my baby is in intensive care. He is such an amazing fighter, again he triumphs over the evil that tries to take his life so often! He is doing even better today, and he's having more trials off the vent. It wouldn't surprise me if they try to let him go all day tomorrow off! He will have to be on the vent during surgery of course. I still have no idea what time and what it entails, I just hope they wait until I get there to start. I guess they have to get consent signed anyway first. I just hope surgery and anesthesia doesn't set his recovery back at all. I guess we'll see. But it will be so nice to get the cecostomy out and not have to come back in to have it done. Lets do it all in one stay. RSV season is just getting under way here, and the last couple of days the PICU has filled up. We are now triple bunked, we have a sweet tiny baby shoved in between Jax and his neighbor.
Our home study is now done! And I'm hoping she will get it faxed to DCSF on Monday! Then we can find out if we get our sweet baby girl. Oh wouldn't it be nice to take her to California with us? I can't even walk in childrens stores right now. Because I know its getting so close, and I want to buy girl clothes so bad. I keep seeing the cutest Easter dresses. So I'm not stepping foot into a Childrens Place, because I know I'll find the cutest matching girl, boy stuff for Easter, and I just need to wait a little bit longer!

Woohooo! who knows when your phone rings next, it might just be the call you have been waiting for! I really do think you need to have a baby shower for this sweet girl, so stop buying stuff!
I am so proud of Jaxson! He really is the toughest cookie I have ever seen! I hope surg. goes well and he will be on his way to recovery.
Lacy I aplaud you for always seeing the light in the dark. I wish I could really explain how much your response to these struggles have helped me cope through Jonah's touch and go moments. It's so easy to take a different turn of attitude but you my friend handle it with love and grace! You are a rock star!

Sounds like it has been a good weekend! Yay for doing surgery bedside and getting that thing out so his skin can heal. We are still praying he gets to go home soon (and have a baby sister soon too)!

Such good news all the way around! Half of our neighborhood has RSV or pneumonia right now - we're staying away from everyone and trying to stay healthy.

I was thinking about you guys when the doctor said there was other stuff out there this year. What were Jax's initial symptoms? I hope his bedside surgery goes well, and that eventually he gets discharged right from PICU - no floor stays for you guys.

He is a wonder! So glad your spirits are staying up! I have been curious about the home study and Star but didn't want to ask :) - thanks for the update.

I think you'll have to get permission to take her out of state if you have her when you go to Disneyland, but they'll know better than I do. It's just a form. So excited for you!
