Happy New Year

Happy New Year to everyone!!
Looking forward to this year and hoping it brings less hospital stays and surgeries than 2009. We've been looking for a chair to put in Jaxson's room so we can start having a night nurse. We looked at all the stores, and couldn't find anything. I went on KSL.com, which is our local classifieds, found me a chair for 50 bucks. I was so excited that I decided to look for cribs. Jax really needs a whole new bedroom set. The crib is seriously 11 years old, and you have to move his dresser carefully or the top will come off. I found a crib on there too! It was the exact one I just looked at the RC Willey outlet for 199, I got it in perfect condition for 100! So I guess this year I'm going to be a deal finder. I thought I already was but I'm on a roll and its only the first day of 2010!
We are also having so much fun playing with daddy's new camera. You can finally see what color Jax eyes are instead of black. I love this picture because he is looking at the lights, and you can see it reflecting in his eyes. His vision is very poor, but lights is alway where his eyes go because he can see them.

We actually made it to midnight last night. Should have gone to bed early though, because Jax coughed all night! Neither me or Ray got much sleep. So the one thing I hate about the trach....when he wakes up in the middle of the night, I can't just let him play in there until he goes back to sleep, he needs to be suctioned. So we've gotten a lot less sleep since the trach, thats why we are going with the night nursing. But I also just found out our insurance only pays for nursing for 90 days, then they expect medicaid to kick in. Well he is on the waiting list for the Travis C waiver, but he's number 20, so they told me it could be up to a year. My case manager said he should qualify for medicaid because of his medical need, but when I applied for it he was denied because we make to much. I don't know who to go through, but I think he should qualify for some nursing time, don't ya think?
He still has this cold, his oxygen needs are still up a little, but he's ok. He loves hanging out with his big brother that takes such good care of him!

Oh and also, if anyone knows Rebecca from Rebecca creates (she does blogs) we are ready for a new blog, but when I click on her button it takes me to a wierd site. If anyone knows how to get a hold of her I would really appreciate it.

First,Rebecca hasn't been around for a bit.I use to see her on facebook all the time and then all of a sudden she was gone,So is her blog for her darling daughter,E is for Everything.Kind of concerning. Our little buddy Gavin had theirs done through The Polka Dot pig and it's super cute.Maybe try there.Or do it yourself my friend. You can do it.I did mine with some help from the girls. We would be happy to help you.

Okay, novel continues ...Jax looks great.Despite is cold.Really good.Smiles and bright eyed.Trach has made such a difference.

I know we talked about it but what about the Katie Beckett waiver. It is now know as the Deeming Waiver.Google it.I KNOW your eligible Lacey. It's what we have for Zoey.Check it out.

Last but not least ... Miss Zoey and March 2nd .... we will for sure plan something the weekend before or after.Count on it and we will let you know as soon as we figure out exactly WHAT it is we are going to do.

Love to you all.

Yay for new cameras! I hope I don't kick myself for chickening out on getting an SLR. We need to go to camera class together - AND schedule a playdate soon. I'm thinking of posting something on my blog for a get together sometime this month...

Gorgeous photo of Jax and his big brother.

I love getting bargains too - I hope you get many more this year.

I hope you get the night nursing too - I don't understand the American system but surely you would qualify???

HAPPY NEW YEAR!!!

Love the pics of Jax! What a handsome little guy! I hope and pray that he starts feeling better! You definitely need more sleep! And, of all the kiddos that I read about who have nursing, I would say that Jax should qualify the most! It's rediculous how how hard it is to get care for our children! Keep fighting for it! You need to sleep!

Great job finding deals.....I love when I get a great deal!

Love and Hugs!!!

OMGosh...Jax looks GREAT! Big Bright Eyes! LOVE IT!

Good for you on finding your good deals. I rarely have that luck. Every once in a while, but not too often.

My opinion, you DESERVE some help. I hope you're able to find some. Soon. You need to get some rest mama!

Oh sweet boy, I love the picture. You have so much strength and courage. I hope you and Phenny Man will one day meet and stay the best of friends.
I want to thank you and your mommy for coming into our lives.

Don't give up on the nursing. Keep calling. Get your social worker from the hospital involved. If it's anything like Kansas programs its a points systmen. Let me know if I can do anything!
Happy New year!

Those are fabulous pictures of Jaxson! It feels like he's sitting right in front of me.

We have the Katie Beckett waiver, as Heather mentioned. It's an Institional Deeming Waiver. Is that the same as the waiver you are trying to get? We get lots of nursing, and we don't even have a trach!

You scored some great deals, I bet the new crib will be great. :)
