Festival of Trees

Yesterday we got to the Festival of Trees. It was still crazy busy, but we found our way in. The Festival is a huge fundraiser for the childrens hospital were Jax has spent so much time. People make trees and donate them, usually in memory of someone or in someones name that is fighting an illness. You can include things around the tree, and then they are auctioned off to raise money. I planned on doing a DS tree but with Jax having two surgeries just since August, I just didn't have the time. But you bet we are doing it next year, there wasn't a single DS tree there.

Seriously

There was two trees dedicated to sweet Kristen, and one tree in memory of a little DS girl that passed away a few years ago, but thats it. Oh that will change next year. Michelle is my creative helper, and she's come up with the theme.. The Children of Neverland... You know, where you never grow up. Very fitting I think. It will be a Peter Pan tree. I'm ready to get started now knowing we need to have DS represented there next year.

The Intermountain Healing Hearts tree.

The tree for sweet Charlotte, that passed away in Febuary.

A fun Shrek tree.

Some amazing gingerbread houses, this huge castle...

and this cute UP house.

I'm so glad you posted a picture of the IHH tree. We looked around for it, but Steve doesn't do crowds, so we didn't go down every row. I'm in for a Ds tree next year!

I havent been to the Festival since Jonah was born. It was so fun. We too went last night. I am glad you will be doing a tree for DS. The theme is amazing and I know J's story will touch many.

I have an apt with dr. fee'u ? a few other kiddos I know go there as well. I couldnt make up my mind as to take him to a neurologist or neuromotor clinic so I have made apts. with both, I feel like Im interviewing who I would prefer to tell me life changing news... Hope your family is doing well.
