More pics and Zoey pics.

I tried something new with Jax this morning. His tendergrips have been ripping his face up lately. I hope its just a faze because thats the one thing that keeps the O's on that he can't rip off. And normally they are good on his skin. But I guess a lifetime of having them on your face will cause some problems. I had seen a couple friends cut heart shapes in the tape on their kids face's. So I gave that a try. Although it looked cute, it lasted about 2 hours before he ripped them off. So we went back to tendergrips and I tried to find good places on his cheeks to put them.

Bear with me, there are a lot of pics in this post. But their good pics and the best one's are at the end. Our visit with miss Zoey.
We went to Universal Studios on Sunday. I talked Carter into going on the Jurassic Park ride. If you've ever been on it, it has an 8 story drop. Yikes. I always say that if that drop wasn't inside a building and I could see it, I would never go on it. I think he was braver than me. He had his eyes open the whole time and got a face full of water.

It never ceases to amaze me at how much attention Jax draws. We were walking along and stopped to watch a group of characters. They were dancing to music. I tried to get the boys to go dance with them. One started walking over to Carter when he noticed Jax. Before I knew it, all of the characters were hovering over Jax. Kissing him and loving him. Then one of the staff took our picture with them all. I felt kind of bad because after they saw Jax, they pretty much ignored all the other kids around. After they walked away I got some looks. But I think after all my angel has been through he deserves some lovin.

Monday was our visit with Heather and Zoey and the boys. Oh it was such fun. The boys swam, we had dinner, then we talked until way past bedtimes. It was so natural, like we've been friends for a lifetime. The boys were instant friends, and my boys talk of them often still.

Zoey and Jax getting reaquainted with each other.
Zoey getting Tanner at the pool.
Zoey just loved the boys. And the boys are smitten by her sweet face. We joked about how there were five boys running around and neither of the babies was trampled. They are just so good with Zoey and Jax and they know to be careful around them.
At one time Zoey just attacked Carter. Smothered him with her big kisses and Zoey loves.

And of course I couldn't leave without my Zoey love. Man that girl gives great hugs. She just grabs on and won't let go. I could just carry her around with me all day. There is just something about holding her. I'm sure Jax has the same effect on other people when they hold him. Its just different for me because he's mine. But they truly have a special gift.

We love the Needhams and know when we move out there they will be some of our closest friends.

Between the cute picture of Jax with his little heart-taped cheeks, the picture of the characters loving on Jax & giving him lots of attention and the pictures of Miss Zoey giving sweet hugs, I am in tears! Oh, and that song too! Whew! I'm a mess! This post truly touched my heart!

Thanks for sharing your special moments with all of us! HUGS!!!

Oh, such cute pictures. I love that the characters would give Jax some extra special lovin. Those pictures brought a little tears (maybe the song playing in the background helped a litte too). Yep - truly special kids.

Oh my goodness Lacey... there is something about Jax in that first picture. He looks so happy! He is beautiful. I love the heart cut outs. Also, he deserved every minute of those characters attention! So glad your family enjoyed this trip!

I have to agree with everyone else...there is something about Jax's look in the that first picture. I noticed it right away. He seems so much more awake and alert than he was the whole time I saw him. Is he pepping up a bit...maybe trying to build up some energy for Boston??? Love the pics of you guys with the Needhams. Of course I am jealous that you got to spend so much one on one time with them!!!

Love those photos. Looks like so much fun...love your face after the ride, priceless!! You know, Jax does draw people in...he really does. Not because of his disability or the tubes, but because of his spirit, because of the love and strength he radiates, believe me...I feel it! Love the Zoey photos. Doesn't she just give great hugs?? Hugging both your children is a piece of heaven I think! We are all blessed beyond measure! :)

FUN! I'm impressed you got Carter to go on the scary ride. He was telling us at your house that he wasn't going to go on the scary rides!

That was soo awesome that the characters were just drawn to Jax..he deserves all the loves and attention! :)

I'm so glad you had a great visit with the Needham's.

LOVE those pictures! Zoey AND Jaxson...two cutes for the price of one!!

I must say, I was quite fond of the "Jaxson makes out with a giant woodpecker" shot. What a hoot!

Oh such great pictures. I do love the first one with the heart stickers. They need some magic something for kids who have to wear tendergrips all the time.

I'm glad you had so much fun - meeting characters, riding rides, seeing good friends.

We don't do anything to make Carter laugh like that - he just makes the sound and then he thinks its funny and does it over and over and over. We just love it - but we are wondering if he will lose that ability once he has more room in his airway after surgery. Our kids go to Navigator Pointe Academy - it is the charter school just off airport road - not the one across the street from us. We love it.

What a fun trip you all had! I am with so many others...Jax is just a little angel and that first picture of him is just so sweet...he is looking like he is feeling better...I didn't know you were moving to CA? That is great! Maybe one day I will get to meet you and Zoey and her mommy too! What a sweetheart she is too!
Universal Studios is on our agenda this next year! How fun! Great pics and way to go with all the character pics! Michelle is right, Jax draws everyone in because he is so darn adorable and has a special spirit in him! Glad you all had lots of fun!

Lacey, I have a suggestion have you ever tried duo derm, when Allie had her NG-Tube we used duo derm for the bottom to protect the skin and tega derm to tape the tube down, that stupid tape always breaks the kids faces out. By the way do you make all thoes blankies? They are all so cute. And yes lots of people think that they are twins, by Zach's got about 20lbs up on Allie
